Management Committee

Management Committee

Muddy Boots is a registered charity (no. 1052702) and is therefore run by a committee made up of parents, Muddy Boots staff, representatives of Walgrave Primary School and members of the community.

This committee is responsible for the overall running of the pre-school in terms of managing its finances, agreeing policies, and supporting staff as they provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child to learn and flourish.

On a day to day basis our charity status is only apparent in the passion and dedication shown by our staff to the setting. Each member of the team is deeply committed to the setting and invested in its future success as demonstrated by our very low staff turn over rate.

As a charity our fundraising is an ongoing endeavour and the committee and staff work with an elected fundraising co-ordinator to meet annual fundraising targets. All of the money raised is used to enhance the childcare and learning experiences on offer at the setting.

All parents are invited to become members of the committee and help shape the future of the pre-school. We have a number of specific roles which are elected annually at our AGM, held in the first half-term of the year. These are Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Fundraising co-ordinator. In addition there are roles for parent members whose support for committee activities and help in the decision making process is vital.

In line with safeguarding policy, all committee members are subject to DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.

If you would like to find out more about the committee or our charity status we invite you to contact us at info@muddybootswalgrave.co.uk. We will be delighted to answer any questions you may have or welcome you on to our committee.

We adopt and adhere to the Pre-school Learning/Early Years Alliance constitution (see below).
